Award-winning international suicidologist, biblical scholar, researcher, writer, and servant of God, Dr. Sandra Prewitt currently serves as the Executive Pastoral Leader of Branch of God Ministries. She has earned academic designations from Trevecca University, Lipscomb University, Roosevelt University, and Tennessee State University.\u00a0 Dr. Prewitt has dedicated her life to promoting the kingdom of God, utilizing any and all means available, whole-heartedly endeavoring to help elevate the social, spiritual, and economic standing of the \u201cleast likely\u201d among us.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the span of a few decades, she has served in a variety of Christian leadership roles, successfully transitioning from the church kitchen to the pulpit.\u00a0 Dr. Prewitt has assisted numerous churches in developing and implementing programs and activities designed to help direct the spiritual path of adults, youth, and children.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seeking to further spread the good news, Dr. Prewitt embarked upon the creation of a radio ministry and an award winning syndicated column, popularly known as\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cPositive\u2019ly Sandra!.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/i>Along the same path<\/span>, <\/span><\/i>she worked as a <\/span>Religion and Culture Writer<\/span><\/i> for Axios for many years.\u00a0 Dr. Prewitt has also served as host of a very popular podcast.\u00a0 Her media pursuits have provided her with opportunities to promote spirituality using scripture and life experiences to convey positive life-changing messages<\/span>.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Continuing to travel down the path of help, compassion and service, Sandra served as the executive director of three non-profit organizations.\u00a0 In recognition of her outstanding community service efforts, she was elected (by popular vote) to serve as a member of the Davidson County Democratic Executive Committee. \u00a0 As a committeewoman, she was further elected by the governing body to serve as a regional vice-chairman.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, in addition to serving as the executive pastoral leader of Branch of God Ministries, she is also engaged in ongoing research relevant to religion and suicide prevention.\u00a0 As Dr. Prewitt endeavors to write her next book,\u00a0 she continues to spread the <\/span>Good News of Christ<\/span><\/i> around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n
